# Buying Gas (BNB or ZIL)

## Why Do You Need To Buy Gas?

The XCAD plugin is built on the BNB Chain and Zilliqa blockchains, so every transaction you want to make has an associated transaction cost, better known as gas fees, so if you want to claim the earned creator tokens, trade, mint NFT, and any future trades that XCAD Network adds to the plugin, you will need to have a minimum amount of BNB or ZIL in order to trade.
